Remedy announced in 2018 that the spooky sleeper hit Alan Wake was being adapted for television. A sequel to Alan Wake (2010), the game is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S in 2023. The tenacity and resolve of Remedy to pursue the continuation of this universe for a decade is impressive – an independent studio reclaiming IP rights from a major platform holder is unheard of, but it reflects the desire at Remedy to build on the world it created a decade ago. Alan Wake II is an upcoming survival horror game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games Publishing. That same year, the studio signed a publishing deal with Epic Games, where it revealed it had a "AAA" game in pre-production and a "smaller-scale project" set in the same universe it's likely that this was Alan Wake 2 and the recently released Alan Wake Remastered.Īnd so we are finally going to receive the long-awaited continuation of Alan Wake's story in 2023, developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games.
